Glenavys Waitaki River Motor Camp

We had a great stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, being close to State Highway 1 but still away from the noise of the road. We were able to walk to the nearby river and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel itself offers fantastic amenities, such as a laundry service, heating in the rooms, a cozy sitting area, and a dining table. We also loved having a patio with garden furniture, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The rooms were well-equipped with everything we needed, including cookware, an electric kettle, and a shared kitchen. The flat-screen TV and comfortable carpeted floors were a nice touch, making our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had a pleasant experience throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the leisure facilities, including BBQ facilities, a sun terrace, and a lovely garden area. The hotel also had a TV room and offered Wi-Fi, providing entertainment options during our downtime. The on-site car park was convenient, and we appreciated the outdoor dining area and picnic tables available for guest use. this hotel provided us with enhanced comfort and quality services.

Not one thing.

The facilities had a couple of nice things going for them. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. the location was quite convenient for our needs. Lastly, it was really great to be provided with plates, cutlery, and other kitchen amenities.

There were also some major issues with this place. the cabin was very small and we couldn't even open both our suitcases at the same time.

Nestled right off the highway, you can easily access the camp and enjoy walks to the beautiful river nearby. the facilities are up, to, date, including a well, maintained kitchen and clean bathrooms. the accommodating hosts offer happy hour, great advice on local activities, and wonderful tiny cabin accommodations.

One thing to note is that the walk to the river could be better signposted at the camp. being close to State Highway 1 can result in some road noise.

This hotel had great facilities, including a communal BBQ area, perfect for cooking meals. the staff were very accommodating and gave me a warm welcome upon arrival. The location was convenient, as it was just a short walk to the river and right off the highway.

Lovely scenery, well-maintained premises, and friendly staff. the outdoor eating area is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. the kitchen was equipped with everything needed for cooking and cleaning. the cabins were located in a convenient location, close to a major highway and easy to find.

The cabins were too small and cramped for comfort. My partner and I could barely move around with our two suitcases inside the room.
